Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every project between the client and the designer. By agreeing to work with Daydream Co, you must agree to the terms and conditions which serve as a legal contract between you, the client, and Daydream Co, the designer.

 

PAYMENT

• Payments are required to be made via Wave or Paypal.
• Any client on a payment plan must pay their payments on the agreed dates regardless of project status or completion.
• Invoices must be paid within 5 business days of the original send date.
• The late fee for any invoice unpaid is $35.
• Final project files will not be sent unless the project is paid in full.
• Final payment is required on the project end date regardless of the status of the project.
• Additional fees may be required such as licensing a typeface for the project which will be discussed and agreed upon with the client beforehand.

COMMUNICATION & TIMELINE

• The majority of the communication between the client and designer is done via email or Asana.
• Office hours are M-F (from 10am-3pm EST). Any emails, texts, calls, and asana comments will be replied to in 24-48 hours. The designer does not respond to communication on US holidays, weekends, and while they are out of the office.
• Any design work is not expected by the client to be completed by the designer at any time before the deadlines of the agreed timeline. Work will be completed by the deadline and delivered on that date.

• The designer will make every effort to deliver work on time but all times are subject to change based on the communication from the client.
• Failure to respond to the designer about projects after 15 days will be considered dormant. The project must be revived via email and then added back into the designer’s schedule.

RETAINER CLIENTS

• Unused retainer hours per month do not roll over to the next month.
• Any extra work outside of the agreed hours per month will be billed at $75/hr with approval and agreement of the client beforehand.

QUOTES & PRICING

• All prices are subject to change
• Quotes for any project are valid for 30 days
• Prices are in USD
• Any additional work will be quoted hourly at $75/hr with approval and agreement of the client beforehand
• A 50% deposit is required at the start of all branding and collateral projects unless a payment plan between the designer and client is agreed upon.

OWNERSHIP/COPYRIGHT

• The client owns all project work when full payment is received. The Designer hereby gives the client the project files once a client has paid for them in full. The designer is giving the client all of its rights, titles, and interests in and to the project, and client will be the sole owner of it. The client can use the work product however they want or can decide not to use it at all.
• The Designer promises to not share confidential information with any third party.
• The designer has the right to display any work in their portfolio, on its website, or on its social media for Daydream Co.

CANCELLATION

• Clients are allowed to cancel a project with a written notice to the designer, and any payment made prior to cancellation is non-refundable.
• If cancellation occurs, the client must pay for any work that has been done by the designer up till the date of cancellation.
• The designer can cancel projects with a written notice to the client and any work that was done and paid for will be delivered.
